حیثیت

داستان فیلم درباره دو تردست در سال‌های نخست قرن بیستم است. آلفرد بوردن (کریستین بل) و روپرت انجی‌یر (هیو جکمن) دو دوست که در جوانی کار شعبده‌بازی را با هم آغاز کرده‌اند با مرگ همسر روپرت در یکی از شعبده‌بازی‌ها به دشمنانی سخت بدل می‌شود. سال‌ها می‌گذرد آن‌ها تبدیل به شعبده‌بازانی نامی می‌شوند که در کنار تلاش برای بهتر شدن در کارشان، سعی می‌کنند از اسرار کار دیگری آگاه شوند و انتقام گذشته‌ها بگیرند. پای دانشمندانی همچون تسلا نیز به این رقابت باز می‌شود با اختراعاتی میان علم و جادو…
